What are Windows Critical Updates?
From time to time Microsoft will release updates that provide protection
and better performance for your software and hardware on and in your
computer. Without these updates, your computer can be vulnerable to
hackers, viruses and hardware faults.
How will I know if I need to update?
After you have run Windows Update, you will be presented with a list of updates available for your computer. Anything listed as a Critical update is automatically selected to be installed on your computer.
